PRIVACY VIOLATION: DHS plans to scan every person’s face who enters the USA
Word has come out that CBP and DHS plan to scan everyone’s face who enter the United States at airports and other ports of entry into the United States. Immediately this screams of a Right to Privacy violation. Why? Because indiscriminate scanning of people’s faces using powerful facial recognition software is tantamount to an invasion of privacy and fourth amendment search and seizure Constitutional violation.
Therefore, this indiscriminate rule must be challenged in the courts and most likely will be in the near future. I will report on any further developments which I witness in this area.
